We are over at 11A Dum Dum Road, specifically in Flat No. 4A. If you know where the Ku Ashutosh Institution is, we are right beside it. Being on Dum Dum Road means there is always something going on outside our windows. The noise from the traffic and the people walking by is just part of the background here in Kolkata. Our office is Stewarts And Lloyds Of India Limited. It’s an old name, and we’ve been around in different ways for a long time. The flat itself is a bit older, with the kind of high ceilings you see in this part of town. We have big desks covered in blueprints, dusty files, and old pens. It’s not the kind of place where everything is digital and clean. We still like our paper copies for everything. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs. It’s good exercise, even if we complain about it. We aren't a big flashy firm with a glass elevator or a lobby. We are just a group of people working in a flat. The kitchen area is where we usually gather for a tea break in the afternoon. We’ve got a lot of history tied to the work we do here. Most of us have been working in this office for years, so we know each other’s habits well. It’s a bit dusty sometimes, and the ceiling fans hum all day long.
