This company was set up in Brindabani, which is near Jemari in the Salanpur area. Alam Ansari helps keep everything running at the main spot. We are a bunch of farmers who thought it was better to be friends in this work, which is why we have Songi in our name. Bardhaman is known for its fields, and we are proud to be part of that. We didn't want to just be workers; we wanted to have our own group where we could decide things for ourselves. We mostly deal with what we grow right here. It’s a very local thing. If you come to our place, you won't see any big signs or fancy furniture. It is just a place where we store our records and meet up to talk about the season. The sun is hot here and the work is heavy, but doing it together makes it a little easier. We look out for each other. If one farmer is having a bad time with his crop, the rest of us try to help out. It is just how things are done in our village. We don't have any grand plans to change the world, just to make sure our own families and neighbors can keep farming without losing everything. We are just real people from Salanpur doing what we know best. It is a simple life and we like to keep our business just as plain.
