Simplex Castings Ltd., Bhilai, actually has this office over in Nayapatty Salt Lake, Sector 5 in Kolkata. We are tucked away right behind the BSF Quarter, which makes it a bit quieter than the rest of Sector 5. Kolkata-102 is a busy hub, but our corner is relatively calm. The office is a bit of a mix of things. We have some heavy desks and a lot of cabinets for all the casting records and plans. It’s not a shiny tech office like some of our neighbors. We’ve got stains on the carpet and the ceiling tiles are a bit yellowed, but it’s a working office, not a showroom. We deal with the Bhilai side of things from here, and the phone is usually ringing with someone asking about an order or a shipment. We don't have a marketing team to make us look fancy. We just have a few people who know the business inside and out. Sometimes the humidity in Kolkata gets to us, so we have a couple of old air conditioners that rattle quite a bit. It’s just a normal place where people come to earn a living. We don't use big words to explain what we do; we just show up and handle the paperwork. If you come by, we might offer you a cup of tea, but don't expect a guided tour. We’re usually too busy for that.
