Our place is over at Ad-182 in Rabindra Pally, right in the Kestopur area. If you go towards Prafulla Kanan, you’ll find us easily enough. Sigma Steel & Engineers sounds like a big name, but we are really just a bunch of guys who know how to work with metal. The workshop is always noisy with the sound of cutting and banging, but that’s the sound of work being done. There is usually some iron filings on the floor and the smell of grease in the air. We don’t have a fancy lobby with a receptionist. You just walk in and someone will be there to talk to you. We spend most of our time in our work clothes, so there’s usually some soot on our shirts. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. The neighborhood has changed around us, but we stay pretty much the same. We have some old machines that still work better than the new ones we bought last year. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a job, but we don’t mind too much as long as the tea keeps coming. We don’t have a website that’s updated every day or anything like that. Most people just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign outside. It’s honest work and we take it one day at a time. We focus on the task in front of us and try to get it right.
