We are based at 29B, Anthony Bagan Lane in the Kolkata-700009 area. Finding the place can be a bit of a challenge for some because the lane is quite narrow and tucked away. Siemens Vai Metals Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has been operating from this spot for some time. Our office isn't anything fancy. It’s mostly just a workspace with a bunch of tables and computers where we look at metal industry specs. The building is older, and you can definitely tell, but it serves its purpose. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby with magazines. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll just see one of us working on a project. We talk a lot about machinery and technical setups. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of focus and sometimes we get pretty deep into the details. The neighborhood is full of life. You can hear the sounds of the local market and the traffic from the main road. Most of us have our own favorite spots nearby to grab a quick snack or a tea. We are a small team and we pretty much know what everyone is doing. We don't spend money on expensive decorations or things we don't need. We just focus on the engineering and the technical side of the metals business. It’s a practical environment for practical work. We find that being in this part of Kolkata keeps us close to everything we need to get the daily tasks done.
