Being in a mansion sounds a lot grander than it actually feels when you are sitting at a desk on a Tuesday afternoon. The building is old and has that specific smell of aged stone and old wood. We share the building with a lot of other businesses, so there is always someone coming or going in the lobby. Our office is a bit of a climb if the lift is busy, which it usually is during the morning rush. Once you get inside, it’s a typical office setup with files, phones, and people talking about things. We don't have fancy artwork or designer chairs, just the stuff that has worked for us for years. The view from the 4th floor isn't much to look at, just the rooftops of other buildings on Moira Street, but it’s nice to have a bit of height. It gets a bit loud with the traffic noise rising from below, but we’ve all learned to tune it out. We spend our days dealing with paperwork and orders, making sure everything is moving the way it should. It’s a solid, dependable place to work, even if the paint is peeling a little bit in the corners of the ceiling and the desks are a bit scratched from years of use.
