Down at No. 23-A, Netaji Subhas Road, things can get pretty heavy. That is where we run Shree Krishna Iron & Steel Co. Pvt. Ltd. It's an old part of the city, and the building reflects that, but it is sturdy enough for the metal we handle. Dealing with iron and steel is a lot of physical work, so we are usually tired by the end of the day. There is a lot of noise from the street and from the loading going on. We don't have a lot of space for decoration, so the walls are mostly bare except for a calendar and some old charts. The name on the sign outside is a bit faded, but people know where we are. We've been at this address for years. The team here is small, just a few of us who have known each other for a long time. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. Most people just find us because they need something specific and they know we are here on Netaji Subhas Road. It is a bit cramped inside with all the materials, but we know where everything is kept. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon when things quiet down for a bit. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is what we know how to do. Shree Krishna Iron & Steel Co. Pvt. Ltd. is just our way of making a living. We just keep our heads down and work until the sun sets.
