Sert Metal

Our workshop is located in South Bhatchala, Bongpur, right near the Hazra Math. If you are in the Burdwan district, you might have passed by us without realizing it. We work with metal all day, so there is always a lot of banging and the smell of welding in the air. It is a dusty job and our clothes usually show it by the time we go home in the evening. We are close to the open ground of Hazra Math, which is nice when we need a bit of a breeze during the hot months. The building is old and we have added bits and pieces to it as we needed more space for our equipment. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing where we are and what we can do with iron and steel. Sometimes we get big orders that keep us working through the night and other times it is just small repairs for people in Bongpur. We’ve been here for a long time and we’ve seen the area change, but the way we work stays pretty much the same. We just focus on the metal and making sure everything is strong and holds together like it should. It is basic, heavy work and it is what we know best. We just keep our heads down and stay busy.
