Seafi Export India Private Limited operates out of A-60 Sammilani Park. We are in the Santoshpur area, under the Survey Park police station. It’s a more residential feeling part of the city compared to the center. Our office is part of a building that fits right into the neighborhood. We handle various exports, focusing on what our customers need. It is not a very large operation, just a handful of us making sure the paperwork for the shipping is correct. The street outside is usually quiet, except when the school bus comes by. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby. If you come to see us, you just knock on the door and one of us will let you in. We have some old filing cabinets that are overflowing with records from years ago. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy with the orders to worry about that right now. We do our own bookkeeping and sometimes we even pack the smaller boxes ourselves. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We don't use any fancy management techniques. We just talk to each other and get the tasks finished. Living and working in the same general area makes things easier for us. We’ve been here at Sammilani Park for quite some time and it feels like home. Our office cat usually sleeps on the window sill when the sun is out.
