Tista Valley Exports Ltd.

Our office is located at 3, Netaji Subhas Road. It’s an old part of town with a lot of history in the buildings. Tista Valley Exports Ltd. has been here for years, and the walls probably have stories to tell. We mostly deal with tea and other exports that come down from the northern regions. It’s busy work, especially when the new harvests start coming in. The street outside is always packed with people and yellow taxis, so getting here in the morning is a bit of a struggle. Once you’re inside, though, it’s mostly just the sound of keyboards and the occasional phone ringing. We don’t have modern cubicles or anything like that. It’s more about big wooden desks and old-fashioned filing cabinets. We spend a lot of time talking to estate managers and shipping agents. It’s a lot of coordination to make sure everything gets to the docks on time. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit overwhelming, but we’ve got a good rhythm going. We aren't a huge corporation with a fancy lobby. It’s just us, some tea samples scattered around, and a lot of work to get through before the day ends. Netaji Subhas Road has a certain smell and feel to it that you won’t find anywhere else. We’ve become a part of the furniture here, just another business keeping the wheels of trade turning in this old city. We don't mind the chaos outside because we've got our own system working inside.
