We’ve been up here on the ninth floor of Commerce House for a good while now. It’s a busy building on Ganesh Chandra Avenue and the elevators sometimes take forever, so you learn to be patient. Sdb Chemicals Manufacturing Company Pvt. Ltd. is just what the name says. We manufacture things. It’s not always clean work but it’s what we know how to do. The 2-a spot on the avenue is right in the middle of everything, which helps when we need to get stuff moved out, though traffic around here is a nightmare most afternoons. People come in and out of the office all day. We try to keep things organized but sometimes papers pile up more than they should. You can hear the city noise all the way up here if the windows are cracked open. It’s just us doing our job. There isn’t much to say about the floor plan or how fancy things are because they aren’t fancy at all. We have our desks and our equipment and we get through the orders as they come in. Most days are pretty much the same. We start early and stay until the work for that day is finished. If you’re looking for us, look for the big sign at the entrance of the building and then just head up the lift. It’s a bit of a maze in this part of town but once you find Ganesh Chandra Avenue, you’re basically there. We are used to the hum of the fans and the smell.
