Our location in Kolkata is at 48/6 Anjangarh in the Kadamtala area. We’re set up at Ava Saha’s place, which makes it feel a lot more like a home than a sterile office. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, through some narrow lanes that get pretty lively in the evenings. We’ve been here for a while and the people in the neighborhood know us by now. The room we use is filled with computers, cables, and testing equipment. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know exactly where everything is. There’s a big tree nearby that shades the building, which helps keep things a little cooler during the humid Kolkata summers. We drink a lot of tea and talk about what’s going on in the city while we work. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or a security guard at the door. You just walk in and talk to whoever is available. It’s a very grounded way of doing business. We handle a lot of different electronic issues that come in from all over West Bengal. Every day brings a different challenge, and we just tackle them one by one. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of inventory, but we make it work. We like being part of this community rather than being in a big isolated office park. It feels more natural to work this way.
