Ruprekha Aquaculture Private Limited

You can find us over at Canal Circular Road, specifically in Block-Viii, Flat-3C. It’s a residential-looking building but that’s where we run the aquaculture business from. Ruprekha is really about fish and water farming, which sounds a bit strange when you see the flat, but we spend most of our time out at the actual ponds and tanks anyway. The office is just for the stuff like permits and counting. We’ve got a few desks and some maps of the water areas we manage. It gets pretty humid here, especially in the summer. We started this because a few of us had some experience with fish and thought we could make a go of it as a proper company. It isn't always easy because the water quality changes and you have to keep a close eye on everything or you lose the whole batch. We spend a lot of time driving out to the sites and coming back here late at night to finish the notes. It’s a bit of a messy job sometimes, dealing with nets and mud, but it’s what we know. There’s usually someone in the flat during the day if there’s a delivery or a message. We don’t do much advertising, word of mouth usually gets people to us. Just a small operation trying to keep things moving along without making things too complicated for ourselves or the people we work with.
