Rashmi Metaliks Ltd.

Our office is located on the 6th floor of the Premlata Building. That is at No. 39 Shakespeare Sarani. It’s a busy street in Kolkata, and the building stays pretty active throughout the day. Rashmi Metaliks Ltd. takes up a good amount of space up here. We have desks, computers, and a lot of people talking on phones or looking at spreadsheets. It gets quite busy, especially in the mornings when everyone arrives and the lifts are slow. Shakespeare Sarani is always full of cars and people, so being up on the 6th floor gives us a little bit of a break from the noise downstairs. We’ve been here for a long time. The office has that lived-in feel, with stacks of paper and old calendars on the walls. We deal with metal products, which means there is a lot of logistics and coordination involved. It’s not always smooth sailing; sometimes things get delayed or plans change, and we have to scramble to fix it. We aren't a small shop, but we try to keep things grounded and practical. We have workers who have been with us for years, and they know the business inside out. We don't go for much flash or style in the office. We just need a place to sit and work. There’s a tea stall nearby where some of us go for breaks when we need a minute. We just focus on getting our orders right and keeping things moving. It’s a lot of coordination, but we’re used to it.
