Rashmi Metaliks Limited

We are located on the 6th floor of the Premlata building at 39 Shakespeare Sarani in Kolkata. Working at Rashmi Metaliks Limited means we are right in the middle of all the city noise and action. Shakespeare Sarani is always crowded, and you can hear the constant honking of cars even from our office several floors up. It is a pretty standard office environment. We have our desks, some computers, and stacks of files that never seem to go away. Most of our work involves the metals trade, so we are on the phone a lot with clients or the staff at the production units. It takes a lot of coordination to keep things straight. Even though the company name is well known, the office itself feels very personal and small. We often share snacks and talk about the heat or the rain during the monsoon season. The Premlata building is one of the older ones in this area, so it has a bit of character that the new buildings lack. We do not have those fancy glass walls or modern lounge areas. It is just a solid, honest place to get through the workday. We spend our time looking at numbers and talking to transport contractors. Sometimes it gets a little bit stressful when we have a lot of orders to fill, but we always find a way to manage. That is just how life goes in a Kolkata office.
