Ramsarup Lohh Udyog Ltd is based in Kolkata, specifically in the Jadavpur area. Our office is tucked away at 4/11A in Bijoygarh, which is a busy neighborhood full of old houses and narrow lanes. We are situated with Mr. P. K. Basu, so the place has a very lived-in, residential feel to it. Jadavpur is always buzzing with students and local markets, and that energy definitely reaches us here. The building is an older style, typical of South Kolkata, with high ceilings and fans that work hard during the humid months. Finding us can be a bit of a challenge for newcomers because the lanes all look similar, but once you are here, it is a very familiar atmosphere. There are plenty of tea shops nearby where we take our breaks and watch the rickshaws go by. We do not have a shiny glass entrance or a big sign. It is just a desk-and-chair setup where the work gets done. Most of the people working here have lived in West Bengal their whole lives, so we speak the same language and understand how things move in the city. The monsoon season makes the roads a bit muddy, but we just keep going. It is a modest setup, focusing on the metal business without any of the corporate fluff. We spend our time checking orders and keeping track of things from this little corner of Bijoygarh, trying to stay organized amidst the city hustle.
