Down here in Jayant, life moves at its own pace. We are located near the Gole Markt, which is where everything happens in this part of Sidhi. Precision Testing Machine Pvt Ltd is a small team of us working out of this office. It’s quite an industrial area, being so close to the mines and all. The dust is something you just get used to after a week or two. Our building is pretty simple, just some desks and the equipment we use for testing. We don’t have any fancy mission statements on the walls. Mostly we just have calendars and a few photos of our families. During the afternoons, it gets really quiet and hot, so we usually keep the fans running at full speed. We handle the technical side of things for the projects around Madhya Pradesh. People drop by with their machines, and we spend hours looking at them to make sure they are working right. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough. We usually eat our lunch together in the small room at the back. It’s not a corporate lifestyle by any means. We are just local people who know a lot about testing machines. We’ve been here for a good while and the community knows where to find us if they need something checked. At the end of the day, we’re just glad to get the work done and see the sun set over the hills behind the town.
