Exide Industries Ltd.

Our place is at Exide House on 59 E. It is a solid building, nothing too flashy but it does the job for us. Most of the people here have been around for quite some time. We know each other's names and how everyone likes their coffee. The stairs are a bit steep if you aren't used to them. We spend a lot of time just handling the day-to-day tasks that come our way. Sometimes the phones won't stop ringing and other times it is so quiet you can hear the clock on the wall. We have some posters on the walls that have been there since the eighties I think. Nobody wants to take them down. The street outside is usually busy with people heading to work. We get a lot of mail delivered here because of the name on the building. It’s easy to find if you tell the driver it is 59 E. There is a small shop around the corner where we get snacks. Sometimes we sit in the break room and just talk about the weekend. It’s a pretty normal way to spend a day. We don’t have any of those fancy modern office pods or anything. Just desks and some cabinets that don't always lock right. We just get on with it and make sure the paperwork is sorted. It feels like a second home to a lot of us really.
