United Industries Kolkata is based out in Purbachal. It’s an area we’ve known for a long time. Our setup here is focused on the day-to-day work of running an industry. It’s not a glamorous job, mostly just making sure the machines are running and the orders get out. The noise of the workshop is something we’ve gotten used to over the years. We started this because we wanted to build something local. Purbachal is a decent place to work from, and it’s well-connected for getting materials in and out. Most of our staff live nearby, so it feels like a community effort. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or big meetings. Most of the time is spent on the floor, checking the quality of what we produce. Things can get a bit dusty and loud, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We’ve had our ups and downs like any other small business in the city. Some days are slow, others we are working late to finish a batch. We value the practical side of things more than anything else. You won't find any big corporate talk here. We just show up, do the work, and try to keep everything moving. It’s a straightforward operation. We’ve been in Purbachal for quite a bit now and we plan to stay. It’s where we belong and where we do our best work.
