Our office is at No-135, B.R.B. Basu Road. It’s a very old part of town, right near the General Post Office. You can feel the history when you walk around here. We’ve been in the pig iron business for a long time. We are just a group of people making sure iron gets from the producers to the people who need it. The building we are in has high ceilings and those old-style windows. It gets a bit drafty in the winter, but it’s home to us. We deal with a lot of heavy industries and foundries. It is all about the supply chain and making sure the rail or truck shipments are moving on time. Since we are near the GPO, the mail comes quickly, which is good for our invoices and bank work. We don't do much in the way of glitzy brochures or advertising. Our reputation is just based on being here for years and knowing the iron trade inside out. The traffic around B.R.B. Basu Road is legendary, so we usually get to the office early to beat the morning rush. It’s a traditional way of doing business, but it works for us. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to keep the iron moving. There are lots of files and old ledgers in the back room, which shows how long we’ve been working from this same spot.
