Vicky Singh

My place is over at No. 1225 Picnic Garden, right near the Laxmi Narayan Mandir. If you know the temple, you can’t really miss us. It’s a busy part of Kolkata, especially around the holidays or when there’s a festival at the Mandir. I’ve been running things under my own name, Vicky Singh, for a while now. It started small and it’s stayed pretty much that way, which is fine by me. The office is just a room in the building where I handle all the paperwork and meet people who need help with various things. It’s easy to find once you get into the Picnic Garden area. K. O. L. - 39 is just the postal code, but most people just look for the Mandir. I usually have the window open so I can hear what’s going on outside. Sometimes the traffic is loud, but you get used to it after a few years. I don't have a big team or a lot of equipment. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others helping out when things get busy. We don't put out many flyers or do big announcements. Most people just hear about me from someone else in the neighborhood. It’s a practical way to work, staying close to the local community and the temple. I keep regular hours, but if someone knocks and I’m there, I’ll usually open up. It’s just how we do things in this part of town. There is no real need for anything more than that.
