Finelines Art Collection

Finelines Art Collection is tucked away in a flat over on Shambhunath Pandit Street. It is Flat 3B in house number 52A. We are quite close to the Bhawanipur Gurudwara, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. Since we are in a residential-style building in Bhowanipur, it doesn't feel like a typical storefront. It’s a bit more personal. You have to come up the stairs and into the flat. It’s a quiet space, which is nice because it lets us focus on the work we have at hand. The rooms are filled with our collections, mostly leaned against the walls or stacked where there is space. We don't have those bright, clinical lights you see in galleries. We just use the regular bulbs and whatever sunlight comes through the windows. Sometimes the neighborhood kids are playing outside, and you can hear them from the balcony. It’s a very local feel. We have been operating out of this spot for a long time. People usually call us before they come over since we aren't right on the main road. We spend our mornings sorting through new pieces and making sure everything is handled carefully. It’s not a fast-paced environment. We take our time with things. Being near the Gurudwara means there’s always a bit of peace around, even in a busy city like this. We just keep our heads down and do our work.
