Arpita Majumdar(Tuklu)

I go by Tuklu, and I run things here at 106/14A on the first floor. We are located right on Hazra Road, very close to the Paramount Nursing Home. It’s easy to find us if you know that landmark. I started this because I always enjoyed being in the kitchen. It’s not a fancy setup, just a regular space where we get the work done. Living and working on Hazra Road means things are always moving fast outside. Most days, I am busy checking on the supplies or talking to the staff about the next order. We handle a lot of different requests, mostly for people living nearby or those who know us through word of mouth. Being near Paramount Nursing Home helps people find the building easily. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, but we make it work. I don't really spend money on ads or big signs. People just know Tuklu is here. We try to keep our prices fair because we know our neighbors. Sometimes we stay up late finishing a big batch for the next morning. It’s a lot of manual labor, cleaning, chopping, and packing everything up. I’ve been at this address for a long time now. It feels like home even when it’s busy. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done every single day. There’s always another event to prepare for, and we just keep moving forward. It is just how we live.
