Ori Plast Ltd

40 Strand Road is a big, busy building, and we are up on the 5th floor. Strand Road itself is often a nightmare for traffic, especially when the trucks are headed toward the port, but it is a central spot for us. Ori Plast has been here for a long time. This floor is mostly where we handle the bigger distribution stuff for our pipes and tanks. You will see stacks of ledgers and people staring at spreadsheets most of the day. It is a bit of an old-fashioned office in some ways. We do not have those open-plan layouts you see in modern magazines; we just have desks where people have worked for ten or twenty years. The elevators in this building are a bit slow, so we often end up waiting in the lobby talking to the security guards. You can hear the river traffic sometimes if it is a quiet day, which does not happen often. We spend a lot of time on the phone with dealers across the state. It is a lot of talk about PVC, diameters, and delivery dates. We do not really do much in the way of fancy meetings. We just sit down, figure out who needs what, and try to get the orders sent out to the warehouses. It is a lot of repetitive work, but it is steady. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that is usually the highlight for most of us. It is just how the office runs.
