You have to go up to the third floor at 32 Ezra Street to find us. Jewel Plastics Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away in 351 Todi Corner. Ezra Street is always a bit of a mess with people and handcarts, so it takes a bit of patience to get here. We’ve been in this building for quite some time. It’s a classic old Kolkata spot. Being on the third floor means a lot of stairs, but we’re used to it. We deal in plastic goods, mostly trading and some specialized items. The office is small and usually piled high with samples and ledgers. We don't use much software; we still like writing things down in our books. It feels more real that way. There’s always a kettle going for tea. Customers come in, sit for a bit, and we talk about the latest prices. It’s a very social way of doing business. We aren’t some big faceless corporation. When you call, you’re probably talking to me or my cousin. We know most of our clients by name. The lighting in the building isn't the best, but we know where everything is. Sometimes the rain leaks in a bit near the window, but we just put a bucket down and carry on. It’s an honest living in a busy part of the city. We just keep doing what we know and don't worry too much about the rest of the world.
