Om Iron & Steel

Om Iron & Steel is situated on Gangarampur Road in the Raipur area of Jhawtala. We are out in the 24 Parganas South district. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but this is where we have our space for the materials. We’ve been operating from this location for quite some time now. Gangarampur Road can get pretty busy with local traffic and heavy trucks. We have a fairly large yard where we keep all the iron and steel products. It isn't a very pretty place to look at, just a lot of metal and some heavy machinery for moving things. We have a small office on-site, but we spend most of our time outside in the yard or in the shed. The weather out here can be tough, especially during the monsoon when everything gets a bit messy and muddy. We just keep working through it. We aren't big on fancy titles or corporate structures. It’s mostly just me and a few workers making sure everything is sorted and ready for transport. People around Raipur know us by now. We don't do much in the way of advertising; the business just comes from people stopping by or calling us up. It’s a straightforward way to work. We like the local feel of the area. It’s practical and grounded. If you are coming down Gangarampur Road, you can't really miss the stacks of iron. That’s Om Iron & Steel.
