New Bharat Refractories Ltd. is located at 1-B, Trikut, 181, Block G in New Alipore. We’ve been in this office for quite some time now. Refractories are a tough business because everything involves high heat and heavy materials. Even though we have a more formal address in Alipore, the day-to-day work is still about managing the logistics of moving heavy items. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking over shipping manifests. The office isn't very large, but it’s where we coordinate everything. Sometimes it feels like we’re drowning in paperwork, but we manage to get through it. People think because of the name we’re some giant company, but we’re just a group of people trying to keep the wheels turning. We have to deal with the traffic in New Alipore every day, which can be a real headache when we’re trying to get somewhere. We don't have a big PR department or anything. We just focus on getting the refractories to where they need to go, whether it’s a small furnace or a larger factory. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here at the same spot in Block G. It's just us in the office, making sure the orders are shipped out on time.
