Monmahiya Diamonds (Opc) Private Limited is based at Premises 83, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Road. This is a very lively part of Kolkata, and our office is right in the middle of all that energy. We have been here for a good while, and we’ve seen the street change quite a bit over the years. We focus on diamonds, and our office is where we do all the grading and the paperwork. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms where we keep everything organized. We don't have a lot of staff, so everyone does a bit of everything. One minute we might be looking at a stone under the loupe, and the next we are answering the phone or filing some documents. The noise from Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Road is always there in the background, but we’ve grown to like it. It makes us feel like we are part of the city’s life. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of experts telling us how to look polished. We just open the doors every morning and get to work. Sometimes we have a lot of customers and it gets a bit chaotic, but we manage. We try to be helpful to anyone who walks in, whether they are buying something for a big event or just asking a simple question. It’s just us, doing our thing in this little corner of the city. There is always a stack of tea cups in the corner and some old newspapers on the table.
