Bihari Lall Saraff

Our place is at 154 Jamunalal Bazaz St., right on the ground floor. It makes it easy for people to just walk in off the street without having to climb any stairs. Bihari Lall Saraff has been operating out of this spot for quite some time now. Jamunalal Bazaz Street is always busy, so there is usually a lot of noise and people moving about outside. Inside, we just focus on the gold and the silver we have. We aren't really into those modern, flashy displays you see in the big city malls. We prefer the old-style counters where you can sit down and really look at the items. People come to us when they need something specific for a family event or when they want to put some money into gold. We do our best to keep the scales accurate and the talk honest. It is a family thing, really. We’ve seen kids grow up and come back to buy their own wedding sets. That’s the kind of thing that happens when you stay in one place long enough. It isn’t always easy running a shop in such a crowded area, but we’ve gotten used to the pace over the years. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The ground floor is a bit dusty sometimes from the street, but we keep the cases polished. Come by if you are on the street.
