If you walk down 18 Chandni Chowk Street, you’ll find us at Mofid Glass Art. It’s a crowded street, like most places in this part of town, so you have to keep your eyes open. We work with glass every day, which means there is always a bit of dust and a lot of care needed. Our shop isn't huge, but we use every inch of it for cutting and fitting. It can get pretty noisy out on the street with all the carts and people, but once you step inside, things get a little quieter. We’ve had some close calls with breaking things over the years, but that’s just part of the job when you handle glass. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop on the block. We just want to make sure the piece someone takes home is what they needed. The light in here isn't always the best, so we often take pieces near the door to check them. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting heavy sheets and making sure the edges are right. We don't have a big marketing budget or a sales team. Most people just walk in off the street because they saw our name or heard about us from a neighbor. It’s a simple life, working with our hands and seeing the finished product at the end of the day. There is something nice about finishing a piece and handing it over to a customer who seems happy with it.
