Mithun Patra

My name is Mithun Patra and I run my business out of a small space at 123/1, Deshbandhu Road. Being in Dakshineswar is great because there is always so much activity around the temple area, though we are a bit further down the road. I have lived in this part of town my whole life, so setting up shop here felt like the right thing to do. It is just a basic setup where I handle my daily work and meet with people who need my help. The building is older, but it has character and it stays cool enough in the humid months. I usually open up early in the morning before the traffic on Deshbandhu Road gets too crazy. Some days are slow and I just sit and have tea with the neighbors, and other days I am running around trying to catch up on everything. I don't have a big team or a shiny reception desk. It is mostly just me making sure the work gets finished. People stop by often just to chat or ask questions about what I do. It is a local business through and through. I think it is important to be part of the neighborhood where you work. I don't plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon. If you are walking down the street, you might miss the sign if you aren't looking, but everyone around here knows where Mithun Patra is located.
