Met Steel International

Met Steel International is based at 35-B S.P.Mukherjee Road. It’s a fairly central spot, so we see a lot of people passing by every day. The building itself has some character, though it’s seen better days like most of the older structures around here. We deal with steel, mostly just regular stock that builders and small shops need. It is a lot of paperwork and phone calls, honestly. We spend a lot of time tracking shipments and making sure the weights are right. The office is usually cluttered with ledgers and samples of different grades of metal. It gets noisy with the traffic outside, but you get used to the sound of horns after a week or two. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. We are just a small team trying to keep things running smoothly. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the internet acts up, and we just wait it out or do things the old-fashioned way with pen and paper. It's nothing special, just a regular place of work. We know the chai wallah nearby and the other shop owners on the street. It feels like a small community even though we are in a big city. We just show up, do our work, and head home like everyone else. There is always something to do, whether it's counting stock or talking to suppliers.
