Mecon

Mecon is based out of an apartment on Selimpur Road in Kolkata. We are in Flat No. C2 of the Krishna Sudama Apartments at number 42. Selimpur Road is a busy area, but once you get inside the apartment building, it is relatively quiet. We use this residential space as our office because it is convenient and centrally located for the work we do. It is not a typical commercial office with rows of cubicles. Instead, it feels more like a home where work gets done. We have turned one of the rooms into a workspace with computers, files, and a couple of tables. The sounds of Kolkata life, like the honking of cars and the shouts of local sellers, drift in through the balcony. We have been operating from here for a while and the neighbors are used to seeing people coming and going for business. It is a bit of a climb if the lift is not working, but we don't mind. We handle our projects from this flat, making calls and finishing up reports. There is no big branding or polished reception desk here. We just have our work and a place to do it. It is a practical way to run things in a city like Kolkata where space is hard to find. We focus on our daily responsibilities and try to keep things as simple as possible.
