Maa Kali Iron Stores

We are located at Plot No-76 on Amherst Street, which is a fairly busy part of the city. If you know where the Ganguram shop is, we are right near there. You can usually smell the sweets when the wind blows the right way. Our store is mostly filled with iron rods and various metal pieces. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep as much stock as we can. The floor is concrete and gets pretty cold in the winter months. We spend a lot of our time moving heavy stuff around or writing out bills by hand. Customers come in looking for specific sizes, and sometimes we have to dig through the back to find exactly what they need. It’s a lot of physical labor, so we’re usually tired by the time we close up for the evening. The street outside is always full of rickshaws and people rushing about. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the neighbors are all familiar faces. Sometimes we stand out front for a few minutes just to watch the traffic go by. It’s nothing special, just an iron store on a busy street. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people just know us because we’ve been here so long. It’s a simple way to earn a living, and we just keep at it day after day without much fuss or bother.
