Our office is down in Kolkata at 267 Prince Anwar Shah Road. If you know this road, you know how busy it stays with the buses and the yellow taxis zooming past. We’re in an older building that has a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit narrow and the walls show their age. We’ve been doing our management consulting work from here for a good while. It’s a high-ceiling space which helps with the Kolkata humidity, though the fans are always spinning at top speed. The office is usually full of the sound of people talking. We don't really do the quiet, sterile office vibe. There are stacks of folders on most surfaces because we deal with a lot of information. Sometimes the rain gets really heavy and we just watch it from the window while we wait for the street to drain. It’s a very Kolkata experience. We usually get our tea from the vendor on the corner who brings it in little clay cups. It’s those small things that make working here okay. We aren't trying to be some big, polished firm. We just do the work and try to help the people who come through our door. It’s a bit cluttered and a bit noisy, but it’s our space. We like the energy of this part of the city. It’s never boring and there is always something to see out the window when we take a break.
