Laxmi Iron Store

We've been here at College Square for quite a while now. If you're driving down the Main Road, you've probably seen our sign right near the petrol pump. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the trucks come in to drop off new loads of iron. We handle a lot of heavy stuff here. Most days start early, before the sun gets too high, because moving metal around is hot work. The guys in the back are usually busy sorting through different sizes of bars and sheets. It gets pretty loud with all the clanking, but that’s just how it is at an iron store. People from around the neighborhood stop by for all sorts of projects. Sometimes it’s a contractor needing a large order for a new house, and other times it’s just someone looking for a small piece to fix a gate at home. We try to keep a good variety of stock on hand so nobody has to wait too long. The office is small and tucked away, usually covered in some dust from the yard. It isn't anything fancy to look at, just a place where we keep the books and take orders. Dealing with iron is straightforward business. You need what you need, we find it in the pile, and then we load it up. That's pretty much our whole day, day in and day out. We know the regulars by name and they know where to find us.
