L. Vaibhav Casting Pvt. Ltd.

Down here at 180 Jamuna Lal Bajaj Street, things stay pretty busy throughout the week. L. Vaibhav Casting Pvt. Ltd. is basically where we deal with all the metal work and getting the molds right. The street outside is always packed with people and carts, so getting materials in and out can be a bit of a challenge some mornings. We spend most of our time in the back where the heat is. It isn't a clean job, you’re going to get some dust and grease on your clothes by the end of the shift. We’ve got a few old machines that still run better than the new ones if you know how to handle them. The office part is just a small desk with stacks of orders and bills that need sorting. We don't really do much in terms of decoration, just the basics to keep the work moving. Sometimes the power acts up or a part breaks, and we have to spend half the day fixing it instead of casting. It’s hard work, but we’ve been at it for long enough that we don’t think twice about the long hours. We just focus on making sure the pieces come out the way they should. If someone stops by, they usually find us covered in soot, but that’s just part of the trade we’ve built here on this street.
