Kumar Fabrication

You can find Kumar Fabrication at No. 69/1 on Serpentine Lane. The name of the street fits because it is a bit curvy and narrow for the trucks. We do metal fabrication, so there is always a lot of welding and cutting going on throughout the day. You will usually hear the sound of grinders or the hum of the welding machine if you walk by our gate. It is a gritty job, and we all end up with dirty hands and soot on our faces by the end of the shift. The shop is filled with scraps of metal and half-finished projects waiting for the next step. We do not have a showroom or a fancy office. People just come to the front and tell us what they need built or repaired. We have been on Serpentine Lane for quite some time now. We know the other shop owners on the street and we look out for each other. Sometimes we work on big iron gates, other times it is just small frames or parts for machines. It depends on what the customer asks for that day. When the sun hits the metal in the morning, the whole shop lights up. It is a good place to be, even if it is loud. We just keep our masks on and stay focused on the sparks. It is solid, honest work.
