Kuhu Mukhopadhyay

I spend most of my time at Flat 2, Ananya, which is part of the 138 Dumdum Park building. It’s a quiet residential stretch in Kolkata 700055. Being near the Girls School means there is a lot of noise and shouting in the afternoons when classes let out, but otherwise, it is a very peaceful street. Kuhu Mukhopadhyay is basically just me and my space here. The flat isn't huge, but it has enough room for everything I need to do. I’ve lived and worked around Dumdum Park for a long time, so I’m used to the way the local shops open late and how the neighbors always have something to say. The building itself, Ananya, is tucked back a bit from the main noise. I don't have a big staff or a fancy reception area. It’s just a home-based setup where I keep my books and my notes. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, and the walls have a few scuffs from moving furniture around. It’s a lived-in place. It’s not a corporate showroom. People usually find me by looking for the school first, then walking down the lane. There’s a specific smell of rain and dust that hangs around here in the monsoon. It’s just a simple life and work situation at Dumdum Park. I like the routine of it, honestly. No big frills, just steady work. It's just my name on the door and that's it.
