Our office is on the 3rd floor at 1/23 Gariahat Road. If you know South Kolkata, you know how packed Gariahat can get, especially during the shopping seasons. Being Kmbm Education Consultants Llp, we’re right above the street level where all the action is. From our windows, you can see the tops of the umbrellas from the pavement stalls and the trams rattling past down below. It’s a loud, energetic place to work in the 700068 area. You have to climb the stairs to get up to us, which is a bit of a workout every morning, but it keeps us moving. The office isn't massive. We have a few rooms where we talk to students and their parents about their plans for school or college. There are always brochures lying around and a few computers that never seem to be turned off. It’s a bit of a lived-in space, honestly. We have some old wooden cupboards for files and a small area in the corner where we make tea. It feels more like a home office than a corporate suite, which I think makes people feel a bit more relaxed when they come in to talk. Gariahat has everything you need just outside the door, so we’re never far from a good stationery shop or a place to get lunch. We have been here for a while and the walls are covered with notes and calendars. It’s just us doing our daily rounds, helping people figure out their next steps in education.
