Kejriwal Industries

Kejriwal Industries is located at number 92 in Surjya Sen Nagar. This is right in the Dum Dum area of Kolkata, so you can imagine it gets quite crowded around here. The streets are narrow and there’s always something going on. We have been in this building for a long time. It’s a typical Kolkata setup where the ground floor is used for the work and maybe people live nearby. The humidity here can be a real pain during the monsoon, but we are used to it by now. We spend our days managing production and talking to suppliers. It’s a lot of manual work and checking lists. We don’t have much in the way of fancy tech, just what’s necessary to keep things moving along. The neighbors are mostly families or other small workshops. You can hear the sounds of the city all day long. Sometimes we have to move boxes out to the street to load the trucks, and that’s always a bit of a squeeze. The office inside is cluttered with samples and old ledgers. We prefer it this way because we know where everything is. It’s not a place for meetings with people in suits. It’s a place for getting your hands a bit dirty and making things. We close up early on Saturdays to get some rest. It’s just how we operate in this corner of Dum Dum. The tea here is good and the work keeps us very busy.
