Kaushik Gold Private Limited is over at 3B Mandeville Gardens in the Ballygunge area of Kolkata. It’s a well-known neighborhood, and we’ve been part of it for a while now. Our office is in a building that has seen many years. We deal mostly in gold, whether it’s for investment or for making something special. The rooms are a bit old-fashioned, with heavy wooden cabinets and some old chairs that have been around since we started. We don't go for the modern, sleek look. We like things to be comfortable and familiar. Ballygunge can get very busy with traffic, especially in the evenings, but inside 3B, it’s usually quite peaceful. We have a few staff members who have been with us for a long time. They know most of the customers by name. We don't do much marketing or put up big signs. We just rely on the fact that people know where we are and what we do. Sometimes we spend the whole afternoon just talking to someone about the history of a piece of gold. It’s a slow pace of life, but we prefer it that way. We keep our ledgers tidy and our gold secure. It’s just a regular local business, and we are proud to be here at Mandeville Gardens. The street outside is lined with trees and it makes the walk to the office quite pleasant in the mornings before it gets too hot. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work. It’s been this way for a long time.
