K. R. Steel Industries

K. R. Steel Industries is located on the third floor of Prudential Palace, room 3-B. The building is over at 1539 Madurdaha, right in the Anandapur area. We are quite close to the Anandapur Police Station, which is the main landmark we tell everyone. Being on the third floor means we have to use the lift quite a bit, though it’s temperamental sometimes. Our office isn’t anything special to look at. It has some desks, a few chairs for visitors, and plenty of samples of the steel products we deal with. We spend most of our time on the phone or working through spreadsheets. The view from the window is mostly just other buildings and the busy street below. It gets noisy with the traffic, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We deal with a lot of different suppliers and customers, mostly in the construction and manufacturing sectors. It’s a lot of coordination work. Sometimes the shipments are late, and we have to spend the whole day sorting that out. We are a small team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the door to filing taxes. We don't have a corporate vibe at all. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to stay organized and keep the business running smoothly. It’s been our base for a long time.
