Jyoti (I) Metal Industries Ltd.-Mumbai

Our office is located on the ground floor at 1A, Jogodyan Lane in Kolkata. Even though the name says Mumbai, we handle the operations right here in West Bengal. The lane is a bit narrow, like most places in this part of Kolkata, and it can be a bit of a squeeze for vehicles. Jyoti (I) Metal Industries Ltd.-Mumbai works with different types of metals. Our space is filled with samples and piles of paperwork. It’s not a very modern building, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out during the heavy monsoon months. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. If you walk in, you’ll probably see us on the phone or working at our desks. The humidity in Kolkata can be tough on the metal, so we have to be careful about how we store things. We spend a lot of our time talking to suppliers and making sure the transport is sorted out. We aren't a big, shiny company. We’re just a group of people trying to keep the business moving. Sometimes the street gets flooded, and we have to put our boots on. We’ve been in this neighborhood for years, and we know the local shops well. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just buy and sell metal and try to make a living like everyone else.
