Joy Enterprise

We are tucked away at 21 Selimpur Lane in Dhakuria. It’s one of those narrow streets where you have to be careful when two cars try to pass each other at the same time. Our office is just a simple room with a couple of chairs and a wooden table. We’ve been operating Joy Enterprise from here for a while now. Most of our day is spent dealing with local suppliers and keeping track of the books. It’s quiet enough during the day except for the sound of the kids playing in the lane outside. We don’t have a website or any fancy marketing stuff to show off. If people need us they usually just walk in or give us a call on the old landline. The walls have a few dusty calendars hanging on them. We drink a lot of tea while we work and talk about what needs to be finished before the weekend comes. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a modern business district. It’s more of a neighborhood operation. We know the people who live in the houses next door to us. Sometimes we have to move our boxes because they’re blocking the narrow path. We just try to be helpful and get our work done without making too much of a fuss. That’s pretty much how we do things here in Dhakuria. It's not perfect but we get the job done.
