Jain Steel& Power Ltd

Our office is over at 2G, Krishna Kunj on Panchanantala Road. It’s a typical Kolkata street, which means there is always something happening right outside the front door. Being at 23C means we’re right in the thick of things in West Bengal. Jain Steel& Power Ltd is basically just a group of us working out of this space. It’s not a massive warehouse here, it is more of the administrative side where we handle all the paperwork and phone calls. The building has been around for a long time and we've settled into our own little corner of it. Sometimes the traffic on the road is a total nightmare, making it hard for people to find us the first time they visit. We just tell them to look for the Krishna Kunj sign and hope for the best. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and stacks of files. We deal with the steel trade and the power sector details from here every day. It gets incredibly humid in the summer, so the fans are always going at full speed. It’s a lived-in space, not some sterile corporate suite you see in the movies. We've got our routine down and it works for us. Most of our day is spent on the phone or tracking shipments across the state. It’s straightforward, honest work. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a place where we put in our hours and keep things moving.
