Ispat Industries Limited

Ispat Industries Limited has an office at 221/4 Rash Behari Avenue in Kolkata. This is a very well-known part of the city, so it’s easy to tell people where we are. The building is right on the main avenue, which means it’s always loud outside with traffic and pedestrians. We have learned to ignore the sound of the buses and the people shouting. Our office is a bit old-fashioned. We have high ceilings and some heavy wooden furniture that’s been here forever. There are stacks of files everywhere because we still do a lot of things on paper. It feels like a real Kolkata office, with the overhead fans spinning and the smell of old paper and ink. We usually have tea brought in from the stall downstairs a few times a day. The windows are large, but we keep them closed mostly to keep the dust and the heat out. Working here on Rash Behari Avenue means we are close to everything, which is convenient for errands. It’s a busy environment, and we are usually quite occupied with different tasks. We don’t have any corporate branding on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a few photos from the holidays. It’s a place where we put in our hours and get the job done. The commute can be a bit of a headache with the traffic, but we are used to it by now. It is just life in the city.
