Interior Designer

Working out of Sonali Apartment on Alipore Park Road is pretty convenient. This is Interior Designer, and we're up on the seventh floor, Flat 7C to be exact. Alipore is a good area, lots of trees and old buildings. We spend a lot of time at this desk looking at floor plans. The apartment isn't huge, but it's where everything happens. We have rolls of blueprints and sketches pinned to the walls. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we take the stairs if we're in a hurry. Being in Kolkata-700027 means we're close to a lot of our projects. We don't have a flashy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workspace where we figure out how to make a room feel better. We drink a lot of coffee while staring at 3D models. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and some green patches. It’s quiet enough to focus. People call us and we go over to their houses to see what needs doing. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just like designing spaces that make sense. It’s just us here, making sure the measurements are right and the materials look good. It can get pretty hectic when a project is finishing up, but usually, it's just a steady pace of work in the flat. We have a small storage room filled with floor samples and tile pieces. The guards downstairs know us by name now. It’s a simple setup.
