Design Group & Associates

We are tucked away over in Block E on Hara Prasad Shastri Sarani in Kolkata. It’s 97/S A, not too far from the Cafe Coffee Day if you know the area. Our setup is pretty modest. Design Group & Associates is just a group of us who enjoy the actual work of designing things. We aren't really the type for big meetings or shiny presentations. Usually, we are just hunched over our desks in this little corner of Kolkata, trying to make things fit and look right. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, which helps when we need to focus on a tricky layout. We’ve been here for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street. It’s a practical office, full of samples and old plans. People come in with an idea, and we sit down and see if it’s actually possible. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. We just tell it like it is. It's not a corporate firm with a receptionist and a coffee machine. It's just a place where work gets done. If you're walking near the cafe, you might see our sign. We're just locals doing what we know how to do, day in and day out, without much fuss. We’ve been through many seasons in this office, and the walls are covered with sketches from projects that go back years. It keeps things grounded when we look at how far some of these projects have come.
