You can find us at 34, Robert Street in Bowbazar. We are pretty close to the Bowbazar Police Station, which is a good landmark if you're trying to navigate these streets. Our name is a bit long—Architects & Interior Designers & Decoraters—but it basically covers what we do every day. Kolkata’s Bowbazar area is always humming with activity, and our office fits right into that. We’ve been working out of this space, dealing with the usual mix of architecture and interior work. It’s not a fancy studio with mood lighting. It’s a place where we have samples of wood and tile scattered around and blueprints rolled up in corners. We take on various projects, from small room redecorations to bigger building plans. Sometimes we’re out at a site all day and the office stays quiet, other times it’s a mess of activity here. We like being in this part of the city because it feels real and grounded. We don't use much jargon or try to sell people on things they don't need. Usually, it's just a conversation about what needs fixing or building and how much it’s going to cost. It’s a lot of work, and we enjoy the process of seeing a project go from a messy sketch to something people can actually use. We don't have all the answers right away, but we figure things out as we go. That’s just how we operate at our Robert Street office.
